Muḥammad ibn Khalaf al-ʿAsqalānī narrated to us: Ādam ibn Abī Iyās narrated to us: Sallām ibn Miskīn narrated to us: ʿĀʾidh Allāh narrated to us, from Abū Dāwūd, from Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: The Companions of the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Messenger of God, what are these sacrificial offerings?” He said, “The Sunnah of your father Abraham.” They said, “Messenger of God, what reward do we get from them?” He said, “For every hair, a good deed.” They said, “And the wool, Messenger of God?” He said, “For every hair of wool, a good deed.”
