حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِكَبْشٍ أَقْرَنَ فَحِيلٍ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَوَادٍ وَيَمْشِي فِي سَوَادٍ وَيَنْظُرُ فِي سَوَادٍ .

Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr narrated to us: Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us, from Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad, from his father, from Abū Saʿīd, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) offered a horned, full-grown ram as a sacrifice, black around its mouth, legs, and eyes.
