حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَائِذٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " خَيْرُ الْكَفَنِ الْحُلَّةُ وَخَيْرُ الضَّحَايَا الْكَبْشُ الأَقْرَنُ " .

Al-ʿAbbās ibn ʿUthmān al-Dimashqī narrated to us: al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us: Abū ʿĀʾidh narrated to us, that he heard Sulaym ibn ʿĀmir report, from Abū Umāmah al-Bāhilī, that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The best shroud is a ḥullah, and the best sacrificial animal is a horned ram.”
