Number of persons for whom a camel and a cow is sufficient
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَاضِرٍ الأَزْدِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَلَّتِ الإِبِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَأَمَرَهُمْأَنْ يَنْحَرُوا الْبَقَرَ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said
“Camels became scarce at thetimeof the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), so he commanded them tosacrificecows.”
