حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُتِيَ بِفَرِيضَةٍ فِيهَا جَدٌّ فَأَعْطَاهُ ثُلُثًا أَوْ سُدُسًا .

Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah narrated to us: Shabābah narrated to us: Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from ʿAmr ibn Maymūn, from Maʿqil ibn Yasār al-Muzanī, who said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when a case involving a grandfather was brought to him. He assigned him one-third or one-sixth.
