Hishām ibn ʿAmmār and Muḥammad ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ said: Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn, from ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān, from Usāmah ibn Zayd, who traced it back to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: “A Muslim does not inherit from an unbeliever, nor does an unbeliever inherit from a Muslim.”
