حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ الْمُثَنَّى بْنَ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ يَتَوَارَثُ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Muḥammad ibn Rumḥ narrated to us: Ibn Lahīʿah informed us, from Khālid ibn Yazīd, that al-Muthannā ibn al-Ṣabbāḥ told him, from ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The people of two different religions do not inherit from one another.”
