What was narrated concerning the shrouding of the Prophet (saws) Sunan Ibn Majah 1471
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَكُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي ثَلاَثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ قَمِيصُهُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ وَحُلَّةٌ نَجْرَانِيَّةٌ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)wasshrouded in three garments: The shirt in which he died, and aNajraniHullah.
