Sunan Ibn Majah 1486
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجُهَنِيُّ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ تُؤَخِّرُوا الْجِنَازَةَ إِذَا حَضَرَتْ " .

Harmalah ibn Yahya narrated to us; Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us; Sa‘id ibn Abdullah al-Juhani informed me that Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib related to him, from his father, from his grandfather Ali ibn Abi Talib: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Do not delay the funeral procession once it is ready.’
