Ali ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Waki‘ narrated to us. And Amr ibn Rafi narrated to us; Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us. Both routes go through Musa ibn Ulayy ibn Rabah, who said: I heard my father say: I heard Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani say: ‘The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us to pray or bury our dead during three times: when the sun rises until it has fully risen; when midday is at its height until the sun passes the meridian; and when the sun inclines toward setting until it sets.’
