What was narrated concerning placing the deceased in the grave Sunan Ibn Majah 1552
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلمـ أُخِذَ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْقِبْلَةِ وَاسْتُقْبِلَ اسْتِقْبَالاً وَاسْتُلَّ اسْتِلاَلاً .
Translation
It wasnarrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wasbrought into his grave from the direction of the Qiblah, and he wasplaced in his grave gently.
