Sunan Ibn Majah 1451
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا حَمِيمٌ لَهَا يَخْنُقُهُ الْمَوْتُ فَلَمَّا رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مَا بِهَا قَالَ لَهَا " لاَ تَبْتَئِسِي عَلَى حَمِيمِكِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ " .

Hisham ibn Ammar narrated to us; al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us; al-Awza‘i narrated to us, from Ata’, from Aishah: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her while one of her close relatives was in the throes of death. When the Prophet saw her distress, he said to her, ‘Do not grieve over your loved one, for this is among his good deeds.’
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic says of her close loved one that death was constricting him (i.e. he was dying), and describes the event as among his good deeds.
