Sunan Ibn Majah 1635
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لِعُمَرَ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ نَزُورُهَا كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَزُورُهَا . قَالَ: فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَيْهَا بَكَتْ فَقَالاَ لَهَا: مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟ فَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِرَسُولِهِ . قَالَتْ: إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِرَسُولِهِ وَلَكِنْ أَبْكِي أَنَّ الْوَحْىَ قَدِ انْقَطَعَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ . قَالَ: فَهَيَّجَتْهُمَا عَلَى الْبُكَاءِ فَجَعَلاَ يَبْكِيَانِ مَعَهَا .

Al-Hasan ibn Ali al-Khallal narrated to us; Amr ibn Asim narrated to us; Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: After the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Abu Bakr said to Umar, ‘Let us go and visit Umm Ayman, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to visit her.’ When they arrived, she wept. They both said to her, ‘What makes you weep? What is with Allah is better for His Messenger.’ She said, ‘I know that what is with Allah is better for His Messenger, but I weep because revelation from heaven has ceased.’ She stirred them both to weeping, and they began to weep with her.
