What was narrated concerning perpetual fasting Sunan Ibn Majah 1706
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، وَسُفْيَانَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لاَ صَامَ مَنْ صَامَ الأَبَدَ "
Translation
It wasnarrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said
“There is no fasting for one who fasts continually.”
