حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، يُصْبِحُ، وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ، يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ؟ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنَ الْوِقَاعِ، لاَ مِنِ احْتِلاَمٍ، ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ وَيُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated that ‘Aishah said

“The Prophet (ﷺ) used to spendthenight in a state of sexual impurity, then Bilal would come to himandinform him that it is time for prayer. So he would get up and haveabath, and I would see the water dripping from his head, then hewouldgo out and I would hear his voice during Fajr prayer.” (One of the narrators) Mutarrif said: "I said to Amir: 'Was that during Ramadan?' He said: 'InRamadan and at other times.'"
