What was narrated concerning hastening to break the fast Sunan Ibn Majah 1697
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ: " لاَ يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا عَجَّلُوا الْإِفْطارَ "
Translation
It wasnarrated from Sahl bin Sa’d that the Prophet (ﷺ) said
“Thepeople will remain upon goodness as long as they hasten to breaktheirfast.”
