حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ دَخَلَ الأَسْوَدُ وَمَسْرُوقٌ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالاَ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ وَكَانَ أَمْلَكَكُمْ لإِرْبِهِ .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Isma‘il ibn Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Awn, from Ibrahim, who said: Al-Aswad and Masruq entered upon Aishah and asked, ‘Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) engage in intimate contact while fasting?’ She said: ‘He used to do that, and he had greater control over his desire than any of you.’
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic says yubaashir without specifying the form or degree of contact; ‘intimate contact’ keeps the wording general.
