Sunan Ibn Majah 1677
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مِنْ خَيْرِ خِصَالِ الصَّائِمِ السِّوَاكُ " .

Uthman ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Abu Ismail al-Mu’addib narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha‘bi, from Masruq, from Aishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Using the toothstick is among the best practices of a fasting person.’
