What was narrated concerning not fasting while traveling Sunan Ibn Majah 1665
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ "
Translation
It wasnarrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)said
"Itis not an act of righteousness to fast while traveling."
