What was narrated concerning the two months of Eid Sunan Ibn Majah 1659
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ: " شَهْرَا عِيدٍ لاَ يَنْقُصَانِ رَمَضَانُ وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ "
Translation
It wasnarrated that from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from hisfather,that the Prophet (ﷺ) said
“Two months of ‘Eid whose rewardcannot be reduced (even if they are twenty-nine days): ‘RamadanandDhul-Hijjah.”
