حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَصِلُ شَعْبَانَ بِرَمَضَانَ .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Shu‘bah, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja‘d, from Abu Salamah, from Umm Salamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to join Sha‘ban with Ramadan.
