حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ، أَنَّ نَافِعًا، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ . قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَقَدْ أَرَانِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمَكَانَ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ .

Ahmad ibn Amr ibn al-Sarh narrated to us; Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us; Yunus informed us that Nafi‘ had related to him, from Abdullah ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to observe i‘tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. Nafi‘ said: Abdullah ibn Umar showed me the place where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to observe i‘tikaf.
