حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ النِّسَاءَ أَنْ يَصُمْنَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ ‏.‏

Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us; Yahya ibn Hammad narrated to us; Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa‘id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade women to fast without their husbands’ permission.
