Eating before going out on the day of Fitr Sunan Ibn Majah 1754
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلمـ لاَ يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ حَتَّى يَطْعَمَ تَمَرَاتٍ .
Translation
It wasnarrated that Anas bin Malik said
“The Prophet (ﷺ) wouldnot goout on the Day of Fitr until he had eaten some dates.”
