Sunan Ibn Majah 1748
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَسَهْلٌ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ، يُقَالُ لَهَا لَيْلَى عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ، قَالَتْ أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَرَّبْنَا إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا فَكَانَ بَعْضُ مَنْ عِنْدَهُ صَائِمًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " الصَّائِمُ إِذَا أُكِلَ عِنْدَهُ الطَّعَامُ صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ " .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Ali ibn Muhammad, and Sahl narrated to us; they said: Waki‘ narrated to us, from Shu‘bah, from Habib ibn Zayd al-Ansari, from a woman called Layla, from Umm Umara, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, and we brought food near him. Some of those with him were fasting. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘When food is eaten in the presence of a fasting person, the angels invoke blessings upon him.’
