Sunan Ibn Majah 1742
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ أَىُّ الصِّيَامِ أَفْضَلُ بَعْدَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ " شَهْرُ اللَّهِ الَّذِي تَدْعُونَهُ الْمُحَرَّمَ " .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; al-Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za’idah, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Muhammad ibn al-Muntashir, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Himyari, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked, ‘Which fast is best after the month of Ramadan?’ He said, ‘The month of Allah that you call al-Muharram.’
