حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَلَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُفْطِرُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated that Muhammad bin ‘Abbad bin Ja’far said

“While Iwascircumambulating the House, I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: ‘Did theProphet (ﷺ) forbid fasting on a Friday?’ He said: ‘Yes, by theLordof this House.’”
