حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الأَضْحَى .

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Yahya ibn Ya‘la al-Taymi narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Qaza‘ah, from Abu Sa‘id, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he forbade fasting on the day of al-Fitr and the day of al-Adha.
