حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ " .

Muhammad ibn al-Masaffa al-Himsi narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Harb narrated to us, from Ubaydullah ibn Umar, from Nafi‘, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘It is not righteousness to fast while traveling.’
