It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would often say: ‘O Allah, make my heart steadfast upon Your religion.’ A man said, ‘Messenger of Allah, do you fear for us, when we have believed in you and affirmed what you brought?’ He replied, ‘Indeed, hearts are between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful, Mighty and Sublime; He turns them as He wills.’ Al-A‘mash gestured with his two fingers.
