Cleaning oneself with water (Istinja') Sunan Ibn Majah 354
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ خَرَجَ مِنْ غَائِطٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ مَسَّ مَاءً .
Translation
It was narrated that 'Aishah said
"I never saw the Messenger of Allah come out of the toilet without first (cleansing himself) with water."
