حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، أَخُو سُلَيْمٍ الْقَارِي عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏ "‏ لِيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ خِيَارُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ قُرَّاؤُكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Husayn ibn 'Isa, the brother of Sulaym al-Qari, narrated to us, from al-Hakam ibn Aban, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Let the best among you call the prayer, and let your reciters lead you in prayer.’
