'Abdullah ibn Sa'id, Ishaq ibn Ibrahim ibn Habib, and 'Ali ibn al-Mundhir narrated to us; they said: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us: 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib narrated to us, from Shaqiq, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) strongly discouraged evening conversation after the 'Isha prayer. Ibn Majah said: ‘That is, he rebuked us for it and forbade us from it.’
