حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ " مَلأَ اللَّهُ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا كَمَا شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ الْوُسْطَى " .

Ahmad ibn 'Abdah narrated to us: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn Bahdalah, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of the Trench: ‘May Allah fill their houses and graves with fire, just as they kept us from the middle prayer.’
