حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلْقَمَةَ، نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، وَكَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " لاَ تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي قَوَّامَةً عَلَى أَمْرِ اللَّهِ لاَ يَضُرُّهَا مَنْ خَالَفَهَا " .

Abu Abdullah narrated to us: He said: Hisham ibn Ammar narrated to us: He said: Yahya ibn Hamzah narrated to us: He said: Abu al-Qamah, Nasr ibn al-Qamah, narrated to us, from Umayr ibn al-Aswad and Kathir ibn Murrah al-Hadrami, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A group from my community will continue to stand firm in the command of Allah, and those who oppose them will not harm them.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic names Umayr ibn al-Aswad and Kathir ibn Murrah al-Hadrami together before Abu Hurayrah. It describes the group as qawwama upon Allahs command, meaning steadfast or resolute in it.
