حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَا نَفَعَنِي مَالٌ قَطُّ مَا نَفَعَنِي مَالُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ " . قَالَ فَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَقَالَ هَلْ أَنَا وَمَالِي إِلاَّ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and 'Ali ibn Muhammad narrated to us; they said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us; al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one's wealth has ever benefited me as much as Abu Bakr's wealth. Abu Bakr wept and said: Am I and my wealth anything but yours, Messenger of Allah?
