حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَلاَءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، وَأَخُو، رَسُولِهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَأَنَا الصِّدِّيقُ الأَكْبَرُ، لاَ يَقُولُهَا بَعْدِي إِلاَّ كَذَّابٌ صَلَّيْتُ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ لِسَبْعِ سِنِينَ .

Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Razi narrated to us; 'Ubaydullah ibn Musa narrated to us; al-'Ala ibn Salih informed us, from al-Minhal, from 'Abbad ibn 'Abdullah, who said: 'Ali said: I am Allah's servant and the brother of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). I am the foremost truthful one; no one after me will claim this except a liar. I prayed seven years before the people.
