حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِحَدِيثٍ فَظُنُّوا بِهِ الَّذِي هُوَ أَهْنَاهُ وَأَهْدَاهُ وَأَتْقَاهُ .

Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us: Yahya ibn Said narrated to us, from Shubah, from Amr ibn Murrah, from Abu al-Bakhtari, from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, from Ali ibn Abi Talib, who said: When I relate a report to you from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), think of him as the most beneficial, the best guided, and the most God-fearing.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
This is a separate chain and parallel wording of the previous report, now from Ali ibn Abi Talib. The Arabic again uses three superlatives about the Prophet.
