حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ لِلْحَسَنِ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فَأَحِبَّهُ وَأَحِبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّهُ " . قَالَ وَضَمَّهُ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ .

Ahmad ibn 'Abdah narrated to us; Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from 'Ubaydullah ibn Abi Yazid, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to al-Hasan: O Allah, I love him, so love him, and love whoever loves him. The narrator said: He drew him close to his chest.
