حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَثَّامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ عَمَّارٌ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ فَقَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِالطَّيِّبِ الْمُطَيَّبِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " مُلِئَ عَمَّارٌ إِيمَانًا إِلَى مُشَاشِهِ " .

Nasr ibn Ali al-Jahdami reported to us: Aththam ibn Ali reported to us, from al-Amash, from Abu Ishaq, from Hani ibn Hani, who said: Ammar entered upon Ali, who said, ‘Welcome to the good and purified one. I heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) say, “Ammar is filled with faith to his very bones.”’
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
Corrected the mixed-script spelling of Nasr in version 2. The Arabic metaphorically says that faith fills Ammar to his bone marrow.
