حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلاَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ ضَمَّنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِلَيْهِ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَتَأْوِيلَ الْكِتَابِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna and Abu Bakr ibn Khallad al-Bahili reported to us; they said: Abd al-Wahhab reported to us: Khalid al-Hadhdha reported to us, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) drew me close to him and said, ‘O Allah, teach him wisdom and the interpretation of the Book.’
