Bakr ibn Khalaf Abu Bishr reported to us: Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, from Ma‘mar, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, ‘At the end of time—or among this community—a people will emerge who recite the Quran, but it does not pass beyond their collarbones—or throats. Their distinguishing mark is shaving their heads. When you see them—or encounter them—then kill them.’
