Translation

Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Suwayd ibn Said, Abdullah ibn Amir ibn Zurarah, and Ismail ibn Musa narrated to us: They said: Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Masud, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire.

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • The Arabic chain has four narrators together before Sharik. The statement explicitly concerns deliberate lying about the Prophet and uses the emphatic warning to take ones seat in the Fire.
