Translation

Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Abdullah ibn Amir ibn Zurarah and Ismail ibn Musa both narrated to us: Sharik narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ribi ibn Hirash, from Ali, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not lie about me, for lying about me leads to the Fire.

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • The Arabic gives the prohibition against lying about the Prophet and says such lying leads into the Fire. This is a parallel warning to the preceding report, through a separate chain and from Ali.
