Muḥammad ibn Bashshār and Muḥammad ibn al-Walīd said: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Simāk, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from his father, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “May God brighten the face of a person who hears a report from us and conveys it. Perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed will retain it better than the one who heard it.”
