Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān dictated this to us: Qurrat ibn Khālid narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakrah, from his father, and from another man whom I consider more excellent than ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Abū Bakrah, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, delivered a sermon on the Day of Sacrifice and said: “Let those who are present convey this to those who are absent, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed will understand it better than the one who heard it.”
