حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ " .

Ahmad ibn al-Azhar narrated to us; Abu al-Nadr narrated to us; Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no deity but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, establish prayer, and give zakah.
