Abu Marwan al-'Uthmani, Muhammad ibn 'Uthman, narrated to us: Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab and Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘When the prayer is begun, do not come to it running. Come walking, and maintain calmness. Whatever part you catch, pray it; and whatever you miss, complete it.’
