Purifying And Perfuming The Mosque Sunan Ibn Majah 759
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا رِزْقُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ تُتَّخَذَ الْمَسَاجِدُ فِي الدُّورِ وَأَنْ تُطَهَّرَ وَتُطَيَّبَ .
Translation
It was narrated from 'Aishah that
The Messenger of Allah commanded that places of prayer be established in villages, and that they be purified and perfumed.
