حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ الْعُرُوقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَازِبٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ قَوَدَ إِلاَّ بِالسَّيْفِ " .

Ibrahim ibn al-Mustamir al-Urquqi reported to us: Abu Asim reported to us, from Sufyan, from Jabir, from Abu Azib, from al-Numan ibn Bashir, that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, ‘There is no retaliation except with the sword.’
